Born and brought up as an outsider in Meghalaya, the land of the people described in the book, I know enough Khasis and Jaintias, but unfortunately, not many are aware of their culture.I found this book an excellent description of the original Khasi/Jaintia and Garo culture.
it was quite a revelation for me to know that a lot of areas in Assam were inhabited by the Khasis.
A must read for anyone interested in the Khasi culture.
